Deep dark black centre with purple edges. Lifted aromas of mulberry and blackberry with an underlying hint of plum and oak. Intense and elegant with a wonderful mouth feel and great length. Plum, red currant, black berry and mint all feature with a backbone that features an almost seamless oak and tannin balance.

The grapes were sourced from the southern reaches of McLaren Vale from a small single vineyard with vines aged up to 34 years. The grapes were harvested in the cool of the evening then crushed into static fermenters and inoculated with a selected yeast strain. Open fermented on skins for 7 days with temperature control between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Once optimum colour and flavour was extracted the wine was drained and pressed. After malolactic fermentation was complete the wine was racked and filtered into seasoned oak for maturation.
