Deep purple with red rim. Aromas of blueberries and plums with a touch of spice. Luscious palate that is brimming with Aniseed and Satsuma plum flavours that seamlessly integrate with the gently textured oak and the firm persistent tannins.

The grapes were sourced from the Southern reaches of McLaren Vale from a small single vineyard with vines aged up to 35 years. The grapes were harvested in the cool of the evening then crushed into static fermenters and inoculated with a selected yeast strain. Open fermented on skins for 7 days with temperature control between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. Once optimum colour and flavour was extracted the wine was drained and basket pressed. After malolactic fermentation was complete the wine was racked and filtered into seasoned oak for maturation.
